by NCP Staff, posted on Mar 11, 2020
As the COVID-19 situation evolves, the New Center for Psychoanalysis is making the safety and well-being of our members, faculty, students, guests, and staff a top priority. Since this situation can change very quickly, we want you to know how we at NCP are addressing it. Here's our update as of 3/16/2020.
Classes and events at NCP.
We are working to ensure that we are prepared to continue teaching and learning at NCP. We have moved to temporarily offer classes, meetings and events online via Zoom through April 8. There will be no in-person meetings at this time.
- We have scheduled Zoom meetings for students enrolled in our courses and for committee meetings. Please click here for more info.
- If you have registered for an extension program and it has been cancelled (or you can no longer participate even via Zoom), please email Tina at Tinaw@n-c-p.org.
Mitigating the spread of the virus.
What we are doing:
- Sanitizing the NCP facilities, including frequently-touched surface areas, on an ongoing basis
- Increasing hand sanitizer at key locations throughout our building
What you can do:
- Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Use hand sanitizer throughout the day when you are in public spaces
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
- Stay at home if you are feeling ill
As a health care community, we are listening to and working in accordance with CDC and WHO guidelines daily.
