Adult Psychoanalytic Training Program

TRIPARTITE MODEL

The NCP Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Training Programs follow the tripartite Eitingon training model, which includes personal analysis, didactic seminars, and clinical supervision.

Learn from being a patient

Deep and intensive self-exploration is one of the most valuable experiences in the process of becoming a psychoanalyst.

Learn from your patients

As part of the training, Psychoanalyst-in-Training (PTs) must conduct three psychoanalytic cases under supervision, with a different NCP Supervising Analyst (SA) for each case. One of these cases must be an NCP Clinic case. We ask that your cases represent as much diversity in gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic background as possible. Two different genders is the minimum requirement.
