Four panelists, Marion Schoenfeld, Ema Ponce de León, Jhuma Basak and Andrea Kahn, together with Paula Ellman, will discuss the successful conferences that the Committee on Women and Psychoanalysis has held around the world this year. In Kolkata, India, "Safety of Women in Dogmatic Times," in Montevideo, Uruguay, the COWAP Latin American Dialogues "Violence: Childhood-Gender-Society," in Tbilisi, Georgia, "Medea: Femininity, Motherhood, Love and Hate," and in Los Angeles, California, "Psychic Survival in the Face of Misogyny."
During this webinar, the panelists will present and discuss the issues and challenges that came to light in the conference contexts that are most relevant to women in their regions. They will bring a psychoanalytic lens to understanding the similarities and differences of the conflicts they face in this area of the feminine.
