September 2022 Board Meeting Summary

Reports from the Training Programs Directors were presented
18 applications for scholarships were received.
The lobbyist hired by the multi-institute Task Force sent a letter to the BPPE describing Research Psychoanalysts and requesting they be allowed to be included as applicants. We are awaiting their response. The Task Force is in conversations with another credentialing body to determine whether membership with them will give us greater flexibility in who can apply for training.
Several new members were voted and approved as new members, including Cecilia as an Honorary Member.
The Board discussed conduct and communications in Board meetings, which led to a larger discussion of the importance of speaking to one another in all settings with respect and support. Members stressed the importance of bringing issues forward when incidences happen to preserve relationships and hold each other accountable.
The Board also began discussion about where we go next with a focus on how to grow our audience.
