She received her B.S. degree at UC San Diego, where she was intrigued by Linguistics and majored in Cognitive Science. Upon working with families of children with autism and learning disabilities, she became interested in child psychiatry. She pursued her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, where she stayed for her adult psychiatry residency. In residency, Jenna was awarded the American Psychiatric Association Area 3 Assembly Resident/Fellow Member Award, and won first place at the Western Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society for her poster on the effect of social media on psychiatric hospitalization in youths. Having special interests in trauma in marginalized communities, attachment theory, and humanistic approach to personality development, Jenna continues to enjoy listening to podcasts and reading about psychodynamic works. When she is not working, you can find her dancing, drawing, or drinking tea and reading a book by the beach.
