Chiaku Hanson
I'm Dr. Chiaku Hanson and I'm a doctor of clinical psychology. My dissertation focused on ego transcendence in psychotherapy, so as a therapist I focus on bringing awareness to the unconscious, as it relates to decisions and patterns, repetition compulsion and unresolved conflict, so that one is able to transcend beyond ego to higher self.

Attending New Center was a splendid experience. The environment was friendly, positive and the staff, chair, mentors and professors were supportive. New Center especially had a diverse body of students of different backgrounds and ethnicities, in particular, my cohort and I appreciated that, because culture components must be tailored alongside theories. I was able to learn more about psychoanalytic concepts at New Center and apply them in my own psychoanalytic psychotherapy work with clients. I feel that I have grown and have a greater understanding of psychoanalysis.
