NCP Member-Only Blog > February 2022 Board Meeting Summary
The Board is continuing to identify areas that could run more efficiently. There are bylaw changes needed to update our policies so they align with how NCP operates currently. The Governance Committee is going to make suggestions for amendments and bring these first to the Board and then to the members for discussion and edits before going to all voting members for approval (possibly to be brought forth at the annual meeting). Protocols for NCP use after Covid and goals and priorities for 2022 are on the table. On February 27 the Board held its second retreat to discuss a strategic plan for 2022. We see this as a bridge year – a year to see each other again after this long hiatus and begin to get to know our new Executive Director (potential applicants are being reviewed now). We are planning several events that will bring us together in the spring and early summer – annual faculty meeting, annual members meeting, graduation, child fundraiser, goodbye party for Cecilia. The building is waiting for us to return. More details about all these areas we are looking at will become clearer in the coming months. Stay tuned. Despite all the setbacks with Covid, remodeling our facilities during the past two years was a real win. The market went up just at the right time to give us extra cash flow to undertake such a project. Lastly, Jill, Susan, Lucia and Katharine and the wonderful recruitment committee are very engaged in the upcoming Open House on Sunday, March 13 from 2-4 pm. We encourage you to invite any of your mentees and supervisees who want to know more about psychoanalytic training.
