Bio/Background:

I grew up in many different places and settled in the U.S. for high school. I went to college in Minnesota and Scotland, to graduate school at the University of Virginia, and then taught at Dartmouth College and UC Santa Barbara until 2018. I'm grateful to NCP for my psychoanalytic training and my private practice in Santa Barbara, and have enjoyed teaching courses at NCP on a variety of subjects including gender and sexuality, environmental psychoanalysis, and most recently, Lacan and the Social. While still teaching at UCSB, I founded a specialization in "Literature and the Mind," which is now focusing on trauma and pedagogy. In 2023 I became Dean of the Training Programs at NCP. I see patients online and have resumed live office sessions for those who have been vaccinated.
