Bio/Background:

Sumon Johnson is a dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse background. Holding credentials as a registered nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, and recently graduated Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. With several years of expertise in psychiatric nursing within inpatient settings, Sumon Johnson also brings extensive experience in various aspects of direct nursing care in medical-surgical nursing, nursing research, and nursing education.

Johnon’s research has primarily centered around spirituality and health in older adults. She underwent comprehensive training in Watson’s human-caring theory curriculum during her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing studies at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, Colorado.

In addition to her academic achievements, Johnson pursued a post-master certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from California State University, Los Angeles. During her work as a psychiatric nurse, she concurrently delved into the theory of guidance counseling, gaining valuable clinical experience with school-aged children.
