Bio/Background:

I am currently the Medical Director at the Olive View Mental Health Clinic (OVMHC), operated by the Department of Mental Health (DMH). I am an associate to the OVMHC Program Head in the running of clinical operations conducted by medical professionals but also in collaboration with Social Work and other disciplines. In addition, I have a private practice where I see individuals for psychoanalysis, psychotherapy and medication back up. At OVMHC, I am also the academic lead representing the Olive View-UCLA Psychiatry Residency Program on site. Clinically, I work as an Attending Psychiatrist doing clinical supervision of residents and medical students. My job description includes a variety of teaching, clinical and administrative activities in a collaborative environment. I am also a Graduate of the Adult Psychoanalytic Program at the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles, where I teach in a series of lectures for the two-year program on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and the four-year program in Adult Psychoanalysis. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
