Bio/Background:

Dr. Sagart is an adult psychiatrist in private practice in Newport Beach, California. She is a graduate of the adult psychoanalytic program as well as the child and adolescent psychoanalytic program at the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. She is a core faculty member at The New Center for Psychoanalysis and has taught courses on Introduction to Bion, child analysis, and infant observation. Dr. Sagart has served as a committee member of the International Psychoanalytic Association’s Prizes and Awards Nominating Committee. She is very passionate about promoting analytic thinking in Iran and has been actively involved in teaching and supervising Iranian students over the past few years, including her collaboration with the psychotherapy fellowship program at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences from 2013 to 2022. She founded Rustin Psychoanalytic Group in Tehran/Iran to provide and advance psychoanalytic education in 2022.
