Bio/Background:

Dr. Rubin has been practicing for over 25 years. Her background in the creative arts facilitated her "here and now, and I and thou" presence with her patients. She works from a relational perspective and privileges the understanding of how old relational paradigms influence all affective experiences, past and present. By creating a holding environment in which the patient feels contained and safe, she is able to help her patients transform old working models of self and other into more adaptive and flexible working models. Impulsivity is greatly modified by growing self reflection. The penultimate goal is relational freedom.
