Freud’s Bar: An Encounter with Psychoanalysis
October 3, 2024, 6:30 - 8:00 PM
All times listed are in Pacific Time (PT) unless otherwise noted.
- This program is being presented in person only.
Topic: "Feeling Rage, Feeling Joy: an affective history"
Freud's Bar offers free, open to all, informal talks of general interest surrounding mental health and treatment. Hosted by psychoanalysts who guide a conversation from a particular psychoanalytic / psychodynamic perspective, the talks begin with the ideas that the psychoanalysts bring forth. Which then are taken on by the participants, who are actively invited to ask questions and freely associate from their own experiences and knowledge on the topic. The result is a warm and lively discussion between psychoanalysts and attendees in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
