What Lori Gottlieb represents is, in some ways, a Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic ideal. "Physician Heal thyself" and "Know thyself," the great Greek Philosophers stated; and, in this way, Freud and, initially, Max Eitingon, enshrined Personal Psychotherapy, and periodic refreshers to meet life's challenges, as an ideal. We at NCP and throughout the American Psychoanalytic and the International Psychoanalytic world, practice what we preach and have "enshrined" the ideal of getting personal knowledge, experiencing what it is like to be a Patient/Client, and getting our own house in order.
