Bio/Background:

Katharine Gould, MFA, MSW, CLC Is a faculty member of the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis and is a member of the New Center for Psychoanalysis where she is the Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program. She is an active member of the Child Committee and teaches in the CAPP Program. She published a paper on “The Use of Fantasy Play” in the Psychoanalytic Study of the Child, Vol. 64 (2009). She is the issue editor and contributor to the May-June 2011 issue of Psychoanalytic Inquiry, on the topic of psychoanalytic work with patients diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. She recently presented the paper, “Welcome to Poisons,” at a seminar on Adoption the January 2014 American Psychoanalytic Conference. This year she presented her paper, Transforming Aggression, at the Western Regional Conference in San Diego. Ms. Gould is a licensed LCSW in Illinois. Ms. Gould relocated her private practice in 2011 to Santa Monica where she sees Adults and Children as a Certified Life Coach.
