Bio/Background:

I am a psychoanalyst/psychiatrist with interests in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, Object Relations Theory, the work of D.W. Winnicott, Relational Psychoanalysis, psychiatric diagnosis, and the impact of anxiety on self-esteem, relational issues, and the overall well-being of children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, I have extensive experience treating and supervising mental health professionals who treat people suffering from narcissism, trauma, dissociation, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I primarily offer weekly to more intensive psychoanalytic treatment. I mostly prescribed medications to help patients feel more able to engage fully in their lives and in psychotherapy. Presently, I am the Chief Academic Officer and the Chair of the IAC (Inter-Analytic Conference) Committee at the New Center. In the past I have served as Co-Dean of Training and Director of the Child and Adolescent Analytic Program at the New Center and am an Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine. I am also a Training and Supervising Analyst and Child and Adolescent Supervising Analyst at the New Center.
