Bio/Background:

I completed a doctorate in clinical psychology at Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus and received clinical and research training at numerous esteemed institutions on both the East and West coasts. My previous experiences include, but are not limited to, a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from The Wright Institute Los Angeles, a one-year certification in eating disorders, addictions and compulsive behavior from the William Alanson White Institute, and a two-year certificate in couples and sex therapy from the American Association of Couples and Sex Therapists. I have presented my research on interpersonal trauma and body destruction at national and international conferences. In addition to my current studies in both the Adult and Child Psychoanalytic Training Programs, I am currently a member of Allan Schore's bi-weekly Developmental Neuroscience and Clinical Applications study group, Thrive's Infant-Family Program's monthly supervision group with Bjorn Salomonsson, and the Western Regional Consortium Child Psychoanalytic class. I'm stimulated and inspired by my participation on the NCP Diversities and Sociocultural Issues Committee. I'm devoted to exploring and embarking on adventures (internally, locally, domestically and internationally) on my own, with friends, my spouse, my adorable toddler or some combination of willing participants.
