Bio/Background:

Dr. Luis A. Nagy is a Board Certified and a Training and Supervising/Consulting Psychoanalyst in private practice in Arcadia, California, where he provides in-person and online clinical services. He is President of the New Center for Psychoanalysis (NCP) and Past President of the Rose City Center (RCC) in Pasadena.

He is a faculty member at NCP and the China-American Psychoanalytic Alliance (CAPA) and has held various positions within the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA). He currently serves as a consultant to the IPA Communications Steering Committee and as Co-Chair of the IPA Psychoanalytic Assistance in Crises and Emergencies Committee (PACE). He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Psychoanalytic Federation of Latin America (FEPAL).

Dr. Nagy lectures, supervises, and offers workshops nationally and internationally, including across the Americas and in China. His clinical and scholarly work centers on relational psychoanalysis, sexuality and intimacy, Eastern philosophy, artificial intelligence, digital culture, and the evolving forms of human connection. His earlier background in computer science informs his thinking about how technology challenges and enriches psychoanalytic theory and practice, as well as the meaning of being human in an increasingly interconnected world.

Fluent in Spanish and with basic Mandarin, he also enjoys photography, cooking, and walking in natural environments.
