Dr. Rubin has been practicing for over 30 years. Her background in the creative arts facilitated her "here and now, and I and thou" presence with her patients. She works from a relational and object relations perspective, privileging the patient's subjectivity while immersing herself in the intersubjective space that is unique to patient and analyst. Most importantly, she believes the patient's authentic self emerges spontaneously from uncertainty that creates new representations out of absence.
