 The New Center for Psychoanalysis and TFP New York present a two-day tra
 ining inÂ  --\n\n-- Transference-Focused Psychotherapy --\n\nNCP, in ass
 ociation with TFP New York, presents the two-day training "TFP for Borde
 rline Conditions and Pathological Narcissism" with Master TFP Clinicians
  Diana Diamond, PhD and Frank Yeomans, MD.Â \n\nIn this two-day follow u
 p to last year's training, day one offerings will focus on TFP method of
  interpretation, working with dyads and the Dominant Object relation.Â D
 ay two will focus on TFP for NPD, dissolution of the "Grandiose Self."\n
 \nTransference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) is a manualized, evidence-bas
 ed psychoanalytic therapy for patients with borderline personality disor
 der (BPD) that has recently been adapted for patients with narcissistic 
 personality disorder (NPD) and pathological narcissism (PN).\n\nTFP is b
 ased on a contemporary object relations model of psychological functioni
 ng that incorporates findings from attachment and neurocognitive researc
 h. The treatment focuses on internalized representations of self and oth
 er that organize the patientâ€™s interpersonal experience.\n\nÂ \n\n-- S

 s --\n\nDiana Diamond, PhD, is aÂ clinical psychologist and psychoanalys
 t who specializes in theory, research, and treatment of borderline and n
 arcissistic personality disorders. She is Professor Emerita in the Docto
 ral Program in Clinical Psychology at the City University of New York an
 d Senior Fellow at the Personality Disorders Institute at Weill Cornell 
 Medical College. She is also a professor in the New York University Post
 doctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and is on the facu
 lty of the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. She is the rec
 ipient of several awards, including most recently the Aaron Stern distin
 guished visiting professor award from Weill Cornell Medical College for 
 her contributions to understanding the etiology and treatment of narciss
 istic pathology. She is an honorary member of the American Psychoanalyti
 c Association and heads their research committee for the Department of P
 sychoanalytic Education. Dr. Diamond currently teaches, lectures, and su
 pervises TFP nationally and internationally, and is in private practice 
 of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis in New York City and 
 Sag Harbor, NY. Â \n\nFrank Yeomans, MD, PhD is Clinical Associate Profe
 ssor of Psychiatry at the Weill Cornell Medical College, Director of Tra
 ining at the Personality Disorders Institute of Weill-Cornell, and Adjun
 ct Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Columbia University
  Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons. He is president of the Intern
 ational Society for Transference-Focused Psychotherapy, an Honorary Memb
 er of the American Psychoanalytic Association, and past Chair of the Gro
 up for the Advancement of Psychiatry Committee on Psychotherapy. Dr. Yeo
 mansâ€™ primary interests are the development, investigation, teaching, 
 and practice of psychotherapy for personality disorders. He headed the s
 pecialized unit for patients with Borderline Personality Disorder at the
  Weill Cornell Medical Center for ten years and has subsequently focused
  on the practice and teaching of TFP nationally and internationally.\n\n
 In addition to their individual published works, Dr. Diamond and Dr Yeom
 ans have co-authored Treating Narcissistic Pathology with Transference-F
 ocused Psychotherapy with Barry Stern and Otto Kernberg.\n\n------------
