DESCRIPTION:Clinical Moments is a monthly series in which a critical clin
 ical moment is an ongoing analytic treatment is presented and followed b
 y group discussion. \n\n \n\n-- Katharine Gould, LCSW will present "Th
 e Admiral's Fleet: How Aggression Turns into Play." --\n\nKatharine Goul
 d, LCSW is a member of the New Center for Psychoanalysis where she is t
 he Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Pro
 gram. She is an active member of the Child Committee and teaches in the 
 CAPP Program. She published a paper on “The Use of Fantasy Play” in 
 the Psychoanalytic Study of the Child, Vol. 64 (2009). She is the issue 
 editor and contributor to the May-June 2011 issue of Psychoanalytic Inqu
 iry, on the topic of psychoanalytic work with patients diagnosed with As
 perger’s Syndrome. She recently presented the paper, “Welcome to Poi
 sons,” at a seminar on Adoption at the January 2014 American Psychoana
 lytic Conference. In 2019 she presented her paper, Transforming Aggressi
 on, at the Western Regional Conference in San Diego. Ms. Gould relocated
  13 years ago to Santa Monica where she has a private practice with Adul
 ts and Children. \n\n \n\nEach month the program features a different 
 analyst presenting a case, and the group thinks psychoanalytically about
  the material. This informal event typically meets on the first Tuesday 
 evening of each month and is intended for psychology/social work graduat
 e students, psychiatry residents, and mental health professionals intere
 sted in the psychoanalytic training programs at the New Center for Psych
 oanalysis.\n \n\nPlease note the following:\n\n* This meeting takes pla
 ce on Zoom. Please join us at 7:45 pm. We will divide into break-out ro
 oms for an informal hello and chat. Then at 8pm the presentation will be
 gin. \n\n* The presentations typically include clinical case informatio
 n. Due to the confidentiality of the material presented, we request atte
 ndees leave their video ON during the entire presentation so we can moni
 tor who is in attendance. Those with their video off will be removed fro
