DESCRIPTION:Pacific Time\n\n  \n\n*** Registration will close at 4:00 P
M on the day before the event. No registrations are possible after this
time, no exceptions. ***\n\n  \n\n-- Maternal Erotic Transferences and
the Fate of Feminine Signifiers --\n\n-- March 18, 2023 --\n\n-- Andrea
Celenza, PhD --\n\n \n\nThis program is designed to address clinically
relevant theorizing and its clinical applications on a variety of psych
oanalytic perspectives revolving around transferences, states of being a
nd the place of love in the analytic setting. \n\nThe day’s program w
ill be divided into two parts. The morning program will involve a clinic
ally based presentation of maternal erotic transferences with verbatim c
linical process. Bringing her special gift for freshly communicating cli
nical and theoretical perspectives, Dr. Celenza will clarify “maternal
eroticism,” differences in related concepts, and how femininity and f
emaleness are internalized at different levels. \n\nThe afternoon progr
am will involve a selection of Andrea Celenza’s evocative musings on t
ransference, love and being. A rich audience discussion is invited as we
think through each brief reading.\n\nThere will be an hour and 15 minut
 e lunch and two 15-minute breaks. \n\n \n\n-- Learning Objectives --\n
\nAs a result of attending this session, participants should be able to:

her;\n\n* Explain what is meant by the analyst as subjective other and d
iscuss its clinical importance;\n\n* List two examples of transitional p
erverse scenarios;\n\n* Explain how the embodiment of perverse desires l
inks to empathic resonance in the countertransference;\n\n* Compare the
