Clinical Associates Organization
The Clinical Associate Organization (CAO) represents the students in the psychoanalytic program and plays an active role in the Center. Clinical associates participate on the Board of Directors, the Education Committee, and other committees. The CAO strives to be receptive to its members and encourages active clinical associate participation in the Center.
The clinical associate becomes a voting member of the New Center upon completion of the first year of training.
Study Centers allow members and students to collaborate in an area of special interest, such as the Arts or Intersubjectivity.
The Alexander-Simmel Library provides a complete collection of psychoanalytic research material, including journals, books, audio tapes, film and the PEP web archive. In addition to important journals, the library houses classic and current works on psychoanalytic theory and technique. The library provides students all basic readings required for the seminars, as well as a reference collection for member use.
